Band saw works great - just dont stand to the side

Worked in a shop for a while making mascots, we cut a heck of a lot of foam on the band saw. The blades would last about a week before they snapped, with a helluva bang, and a random blade ejection out the side.

If you are cutting foam just make sure you keep your hands clear from the sides of the blade in case it decides to let go.

(not sure on the exact mechanism, my theory was that the heat from cutting was causing the weld to fail as the foam didn't allow the heat to dissipate the same way it does in wood)
