I know this is a little off topic and short notice, but I thought I'd throw it out there anyway...

This Sunday, the 11th, me and a couple of friends are paddling from the Alki Kayak Tours shack around West Seattle to Lincoln Park near the Fauntleroy Ferry Terminal, having a picnic (with other friends who are meeting us), and then paddling back. My Wife Wendy is calling it the "Kick Kidney Cancer's Butt, Steve!" picnic (https://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=270608206301733) as I have surgery on Tuesday the 13th.

If there are any local paddlers/builders who would like to join us you are very welcome. We are putting in the water as close to 10 am as we can, and stopping at Alki beach for a quick break each way (have a newbie paddler with me.)

We have kosher dogs for 26 or so, and chips, and many people are bringing other dishes. Families are welcome at the picnic, it will be at tables 45 & 46 near the restrooms on the ocean side trail. Bring something to share, and something to drink.

Total distance is a little less than 14 miles round trip. The weather should be great, nice and warm.

Let me know if you'd like to come, and how many at the picnic, so I can tell the (Virgo) wife.
