Hey, some of us are busy fixing storm damage from hurricane Irene...
I've done a couple of kayaks with black graphite-coated hulls. Done well and polished, it looks like black paint or gelcoat.

I'm still trying to get the formula right on the white graphite (lot of clumping during application and later staining from fouling). It does work well for stems. I tried a new mix on my daughter's SOF. It appears to be weathering ok. Yes, it's flexible enough for a SOF...

The hybrid "Elsie" CT-18 sides and bottom were graphite coated. The deck was fabric. The stems were Vectracloth coated with white graphite.:

The "Neytiri" Night Heron had carbon fiber sides with a graphite coated fiberglass bottom. Pic below of the Neytiri's hull prior to wetsanding and polishing.
