: I got a bit of a shock with the scantlings until I realised
: everything was in cm as I was raised in a mm or feet world!
: Looks great; I am a devotee of the lightweight solo canoe and
: have had a lot of fun out of my plywood canoe (9 kg less seat).
: I built it out of sheer frustration with hauling a small but
: hefty rotomolded kayak over the wide field and never-ending
: beach that separate my favorite launch spot from the nearest
: parking lot.
: However, don't forget to weigh it down if you are on land in windy
: weather with witnesses around - they're not quite as quick off
: the mark as a beach umbrella but much more embarassing.
You mean like this???
