Looking to build another boat (it's been awhile). I have been looking at S&G options, my limitations are that I want to build from scratch and I have very big feet. Two designs I keep looking at are the CLC Wood Duck 12 and the Guillemot Ganymede. Any information on the performance of these boats would be helpful (I can't find much on the Ganymede). On paper I like the narrower beam of the Ganymede (25" to the Wood Duck's 30") and longer length. I'm guessing that it's faster than the Wood Duck. I like the looks of the Wood Duck better and it looks like it would be more fun to build and paddle. I'll be padding in varied conditions, I'm 6'1" 180, intermediate kayak experience. Any insights (especially about Ganymede) or suggestions of other boats would be appreciated. Thanks!
