: but I have just spent the afternoon starting to join the top and
: bottom of my Guillemott.
: I have used 18" lengths of 2" tape, 1" stuck with
: resin to the inside ends of the hull:-
: waited 'till it had gone tacky, then coated the visible half above
: the sheer with thickend
: (not quite peanut butter) resin, piled the excess onto the
: triangular tops of the internal
: stem and stern. Placed the deck on two 2"x2"s and then
: removed them one at a time to
: lower the deck into position. A small brush on long stick a la Nick
: was used to dab the strips
: into good contact after firmly taping the ends together. I have
: also added a couple of
: resin tacks towards the centre of the boat to help the tapes keep
: it all in line.
: All went like a dream. Start on taping the rest of the insides
: tomorrow.

Taping the inside joint is such a fun job , have fun :)

Try to stick a fan in one end to minimize the fumes, bad thing breathing them. Respirator is a really good idea too.
