I've never seen a kayak skinned with it, but I've seen a much larger boat in action in the San Juans. A guy built the largest rowboat I've ever seen and had paddled it with his wife and all their camping gear to this remote beach I was camped on. He'd had the thing for years. Seemed very light and strong.
