So two years later, I'm in the same situation. I'd like a nice wicker or web seat to go with the ambiance of the design, and I thought there would be a commercial product out there, but if I can't find it.

: Hi All,
: It's been a while since I posted, but the Microbootlegger is
: finished and has been to Colorado and back.

: Other than it's been a great canoe and head-turner, I need some
: suggestions on seating. I've made some nice foam pads that are
: comfortable, but the wooden back band are less than perfect.

: The Micro-BootLegger is an open cockpit, thus I have no combing to
: attach the front seat to and keep it 'up'. It just drifts down
: when we lean back on them.

: I've checked out the Red Fish seats. They have a good rep, but I'd
: rather have something with more pizazz, if you know what I mean.
: Do the Red Fish seats have good support, can you lean back into
: them without them collapsing? I'm 260, she's much less than
: that.

: Any ideas much appreciated!

: Thanks,
