: Way off topic, but if anyone was thinking of converting to CFL's,
: Home Depot right now has 14 watt, 60 watt equivalent, 4 packs
: for $.99, that's about a quarter each.
: This house has a heck of alot of light bulbs, I think it's 48, so I
: stocked up :)

One tip with CFL's that we learned recently - The first time you turn them on, leave them on for 4 hours. This helps set the max brightness, and extends their life. I don't remember the specifics, but it was explained by the City Light guy that came out to swap all our bulbs (Seattle City Light was running a program to increase efficiency and extend the life of the existing infrastructure. They would come out and replace all the bulbs in the house for free in certain lower income neighborhoods.)
