high volume bow certainly doescatches the wind, thats why I use a calf leash should I ever get chucked out.
i have had the misfortune of having to paddle home (back through surf) rudderless and it is an interesting exercise. All those kayak strokes other than the forward stroke do come in handy. Pays to know them.
