: Sorry I didn't explain it very well. Both sides of the deck were
: glassed with 6 oz cloth and 3 coats of resin, the deck is
: secured to the hull. I sanded the hatch cover prior to adding
: the frame (so that it would be ready for varnish). The frame is
: on top of the hatch cover, I used a design I saw on a friends
: boat as he did not put a frame on the underside of the deck, and
: will use straps on top. The pieces were soaked then bent to
: shape before cutting to exact shape and gluing them all together
: (I laminated two pieces of 1/8" cherry after bending). Then
: after everything was glued together and cut out exact shape and
: sanded.
: Do you think by using the heat gun I would damage the resin?
