: I've got a Wenonah Solo Plus in Royalex in Alaskan Ivory. Way back
: when it was new, I fretted about the scratches and used lots of
: cleaners and polishes to try to keep it clean and looking like
: new. Now, 8 years later with about a thousand miles of river
: trips on it, the bottom looks like a walrus hide. There are more
: scratches, cuts and gouges than I could count. The bow and stern
: got so worn that I had to add skid plates and they are all
: scratched up as well. Trying to keep a Royalex canoe looking
: like new is only accomplished by leaving it in the garage. I
: promise you that you will enjoy your canoe a lot more if you
: consider the scars on the boat to be beauty marks and lasting
: symbols of the adventures you had. Have fun in it, take care of
: it and keeep it seaworthy but don't stress out over how it
: looks...

Hi Bob,

My Wenonah Argosy looks much like yours, stand back 10 feet and it looks great :) Doesn't effect the paddling in the least.

Meguires plastic cleaner and their Shine keep it looking ok, but it's Royalex, it's gonna look rough. Want a perfect canoe, either build a stripper or buy a glass one.
