And I would recommend that you use a waterproof glue for strips glued to transoms even with fillets and glass wrapped around. Something like West System G-flex or another brand of fast cure. Being in the business of repairs, I have seen my share of transoms that have come loose from improper adhesion and water getting in. In one case, I was shocked to find a transom so loosely held in place it almost fell out. The next time they attached their small motor and started it up, I was sure it would have gone to the bottom with transom attached.
