I am a high school Wood Shop/Engineering teacher and as a Design & Build project I think I am going to have kids build paddles. Ultimately, they will design them with CAD software and may even cut the paddle blades on a CNC Router (maybe). I was wondering if people had and good designs which are fairly simple (this is not our traditional wood shop class). I would like to have a few possible designs for them to work from, I was thinking kayak paddles, canoe paddles, stand-up paddle boards.... I plan to make a paddle in the next month or so, so that I can have more experience before they start their's. Any advice or design info you have would be excellent. Thanks.
