I'm looking for a double design to paddle with my 7yo. I'm wondering if anyone has any experience shortening the Guillemont Fast Double? Simply thinking of LOA and design displacement as strictly proportional to my desired DD, I come up with length of 18' 9". This is a significant reduction from 25' 6". Any thoughts, or suggestions of a design with a designed load of closer to 270lbs? Thanks in advance, and I hope that I can find this again, as I'm new here, and haven't yet figured out the best way to navigate this forum.
