The Bottom bar (a full 8') goes through holes in the 3 1x1 pieces and is welded on the ends to keep it solid. The removable bars are the same 5/8" round bar with a flat washer welded to one end and a hole for a cotter pin on the other and they slide through holes in the 1x1. I thought after I should have done vertical dividers on the left side if I wanted to store boats on their side.
