I'd take a batch of epoxy and thin it down 10-15% with rubbing alcohol and then give those areas that need it a quick wipe-down. Brush on a thin layer, wait a few minutes for the epoxy to soak into the raw glass and the wipe off all but a very thin film. Wait a few days for it to cure and then give it a quick scuff sand. I've done it before. Works wonders.
