In building a Guillemot L, I bought the Crown shavehooks set and a little scraper called Pro Prep. The Crown shavehooks are good, but I really like the Pro Prep because it is smaller and is easily sharpen to a razor edge. The Pro Prep really made the job scraper the inside bow and stern much easier than I thought. You can quickly sharpen/shape with a machine file which is the best feature I like. I worn gloves to prevent hand cuts; its that sharp. I used it like a plane by peeling off long thin shavings, and I finally used the Pro Prep full time to complete the inside of the hull and deck..
