Thanks Jack-

I think it helps. I'm in the Great Lakes, but thanks for the offer to let me take yours for a spin. Looks like I've still got some thinking to do. Anything is going to feel sluggish after my current kayaks, but I still want to have a decent kayak for tripping where weather can change violently pretty quickly.
