Looks great Sean! Glad you are happy with her. And yes, low freeboard on the back deck will interfere with edging - it is immersed when leaning hard. It wasn't until I saw a video of me paddling my old Yost Sea Rover that I figured out why she wouldn't edge turn (for me)!
Other than that, low freeboard is not a problem.
