It's a fun little canoe. I tried it out on a local pond before varnishing with a single paddle. A kayak paddle would have been even better. At only 30" wide it's actually pretty stable, enough for fishing. It reminded me of a lightly loaded Prospector. Not a huge amount of primary but plenty of secondary for a secure feeling. The speed wasn't bad either. He should really like it.
