It is possible to get a perfect fit with beveled edges.

It is also possible for gaps to appear when you start sanding B&C strips.

Neither method will guarantee a good fit. Care with either method will make it quite likely that you will get a good fit.

The designs that some people create on the deck don't work very well with B&C.
