In all honesty, I have no idea what design it is?
I've never even really been in a kayak.. One day I ran across the Kfoundry software and an associated file out on the interwebs. Being a CAD monkey by trade, I couldn't help but download it and spent a long while pushing/pulling things around and looking at pictures of wooden kayaks. When my wife was out of town one weekend, figured hey what the heck, I need a project... Plotted out the stations and got to it (halfway thinking I'd never actually get this far). She looked at me like I was a nut when she came home and I told her what I was up to.. Completely addicted now! This will not be the last one.

My biggest hope's are that she floats, goes somewhat straight, and that I like kayaking..
Which I should.. Grew up on the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore in the UP of Michigan. Canoeing is something I've always really enjoyed... just never tried a kayak. And there's nothing like a few days in the Boundary Waters of MN to take the edge off...
