No argument here that epoxy will work. Simeon's description defined tight joints with hair line seams so I felt that Resorcinol was worth checking out. I have a healthy distrust of Gorilla Glue because I used it to bond hardwood blocks together then bored and turned it on the lathe. It split on the glue line on all four rings. It could have lacked moisture, I could have clamped it too tight for the smooth hardwood surfaces, it could have gone bad in the bottle, who knows. So my post was based on experiences. Gorilla Glues gap filling ability is not strong because it is air bubbles. If Resorcinol is ruled out I would choose epoxy
