Very well put, Et.

I, too, like to get out and play in the occasional gale and although I can maintain course with the skeg up it is work. I don't like work; I like play. Relieved of the chore of course correction one can submerge the boat, get big air, wallow side to side, roll and more with complete abandon, all the while heading straight for home.
