: After looking at John Waddington's pic ... the appearance reminds

One of the causes of this is dirty glass that was improperly stored. Any contaminates that come in contact with the glass before it's used can effect the bond the epoxy has to it. It should be stored wrapped in plastic and out of direct sunlight and preferably kept completely dry before it's used.
