: HELLO ALL,
: Thought I would share my experience with forum members. Might be of
: some interest.
: I ordered and received a West Greenland paddle from "Sam"
: at Shaw & Tenney Paddles. I wanted a high class paddle from
: a paddle maker whose firm has been making paddles since 1856.
: The cost was $250 delivered.
: The paddle I ordered was made of Black Cherry. When it arrived, the
: workmanship was beautiful but I had one concern and that was the
: black spaulting grooves which extended to the tips of the blade.
: It appeared the paddle should be hung on the wall
: and not used. I called Sam and extended my concerns to him. He will
: make me another paddle (I requested Walnut this time) to replace
: the one he made for me at no extra charge and no extra shipping
: charges.

: THAT IS A CLASS BUSINESS POLICY!!!! THANK YOU SAM.

: Douglas

Sounds pretty but that has got to be one heavy paddle, ok two. Neither cherry nor walnut are real light weight.
