Ah yes, I know that engine block well. It is one of the many reasons folks don't surf Bolongo. I have a nice big hole in my board from a cinder block near that engine block! I surf the edge of the reef sometimes in the kayak, and have been embarassed a few times by it. You have to really know the reef to surf it. Elkhorn coral is like concrete trees. They will destroy a kayak, or a head!
