Well sure, that's a good point. But if your hull has dried and shrunk, it is ready to such up the water.
I've been surprised at how many soak downs it takes to get the wood to expand back to were it
should be. But the surface of the wood will be dry to the touch in a few hours or overnight.
It probably took weeks to dry out. And once it expands back to the dimensions it was when the outside
was glassed, it has absorbed enough and the surface will dry without all the water you added evaporating.
Once it looks and feels dry, you're ready to glass.
