I don't like tung oil or varnish because they're film-building. As soon as the film is compromised, the paddle starts to get to looking yucky. I've been Using Deks Olje with great success. I only use the #1, not the #2. http://www.deksolje.com/index.php?langue=en&page=products-deks-olje-d1
