19 forms seems excessive. I used 11 on Pole dancer which is 18 ft+ long, and it was fine. I feel that one every foot is overkill. Maybe designers should start offering plan options with fewer station forms for those who feel confident enough to get a fair boat with less. Fewer staple holes and easier setup are just the first benefits that jump into my mind. I am sure there are many more.

18 inches would be close enough, even for first timers, I think.
