I was likely thinking of Norway Spruce rather than Pine. That's what we get about here for "white pine", or "white deal" (Picea abies).

Though hard and easy for me is calories burned working the wood.
I'd think that Western Pine would be seen as an exotic here. :D

Tis amazing how english means different things in different "english speaking" places. :)
