: Merry Christmas everyone,

: I wanted to share this with the KBBB. This is my Nephew getting his
: surprise Christmas Sea Bee. The smile says it all. The story is
: a good one so if ya'll don't mind I will tell it.
: His name is Greg and there have been some tough times in the past.
: Greg is putting himself through Engineering school with the
: Army. When he found out I like to build canoe and kayaks he
: would not let up on me, asking questions and sending me email
: all the time. He has been restoring a wood boat, some kind of a
: skiff or something. He really wanted to buy a wood kayak but he
: has little cash. I offered him a SOF cheap from my stash of
: kayaks, but the Wife had a different idea. She wanted Greg to
: have a wood kayak because they (in her opinion) look better.
: Well just about a week before Thanksgiving my wife asked me to
: build a strip kayak for Greg, only thing is she wanted to
: surprise him Christmas with it. OMG I had to get busy building.
: finished it just in time to get 5 coats of varnish on before the
: big day.

: Well when we showed up with the Sea Bee on the car he was blown
: completely away. He started in on how he wanted to pay us and
: all that. This is what we told Greg. What we wanted from him is
: to continue to study very hard and keep making good grades. Then
: serve your time in the Army with honer and keep working hard at
: what you do. When life rewards your efforts then find someone
: that does not expect it and pay this forward.
