Around here, as we get more white hair, friends jump in to help carry the boats. Lots of people use the toggles as handles to carry boats, have seen a couple break sending the boats crashing to the ground. Last one was on a friend's all carbon custom built yak, only caused a nasty scratch, still bad on an almost $5k boat.
