I used new forms placed one foot apart. It worked well for me. A couple things I noticed that I might change if I were to do it again was that the strip built kayak didn't flex when sitting in it in the water and the tracking was a little bit stiffer, and the stripper had less primary stability due to my center of gravity being a little bit higher due to no flex in the hull and my butt didnt sink below the bottom of the hull. Next time i might a little bit more rocker and make the hull a little bit wider. Here is a link to the process I used.
