Pete usually uses DuPont's Imron line. I'm not sure what he's using for the BP. He said just about any refinishing urethane system would work (PPG, etc). The clear is DuPont ChromaPremier 72200s that I've used on other kayaks (2008 "Nereida" Njord and the 2010 "Neytiri" Night Heron for example).

The exterior was sanded to P240. It'll be treated like doing a bumper on a car or truck with flex additive added to each coat. It'll make the system a bit more rugged.
