I cut the mahogany into 3/32" strips for the coaming lip. They bent around the riser fairly easily and I used about 40 spring clamps to hold the lip in place while the thickened epoxy cured. I'm not sure I could have gone much thicker with the strips without encountering challenges making the bends though.....
