I have only built one boat and it was a stripper, even so I think you said it right; the building a less defined boat is the mental hurdle. I have no problem throwing it together it is just the undefined ends and the undefined distances forward and aft that have me stalled but on that note Tom got back to me today and said 3.25 feet in front of form 1 and 2.25 feet behind form four should be about right so I breathe easy now that I have some indication of the proportions fore and aft.
He also said these are easy boats to build so don't over think it. I will have to keep this in mind.
