I seem to be obsessed with making Maroske fittings for my decklines (these are basically little U-tubes that attach to the deck, deck lines run through them anchoring on the strong deck, but because they are tubes there's no water leak into the holds)

The best 'form' material I've found--that can make tight turns without kinking are Hot Melt Glue Sticks.
They can easily bend as tight as 1" diameter (try that with any 3/8" tubing) and the 7/16" diameter of the stick leaves plenty of room for 1/4" deck lines. (I like fat deck lines, safety first, my delicate hands......)

My question ... if Low Temp Hot Melt Glue Sticks melt at 225 degrees Fahrenheit (107 deg C), If I need to use a heat gun to soften them to push/pull the 'mold' out of the epoxy/carbon/glass (chopped) dookie-smutz fitting will that ruin the positive? What temps muck up epoxy?

'Course I'll coat everything with releasing wax, but we all know how these things go......
