Last year from Sweet Supply I purchased "Fiberglass Tape Bias 1.5" 100 yd. roll $96.00" Don't know the weight.
I have the same experience as Mike, big ridge on one side. I used it to reinforce my coaming riser. Also seems to wind up a lot thicker than just cutting some fabric on the diagonal. Not sure if I will use it to tape the deck/hull seam, but will definitely use it to tape the inside.
I also used it today to test Maroske fittings and it worked really well (see my other message).
One advantage is there's no frayed edge with strings sticking out, it conforms to shapes nicely.

. The
: trouble is that it has the bound edge that causes a
: "bump" when you glass it. It could also be hard to
: work with because it has a range of widths, and can expand from
: say 3/4" to 4". The bump sands off fine if you don't
: mind the extra work.
