Tricks for installing O-rings

Vaseline for twisty-connections (turning threads, like plumbing).

If it doesn't need to slide after installing, then Windex, or probably any spray cleaner (Simple Green, ammonia...)
Windex, and probably all similar liquid cleaning products, are alkaline and 8th grade chemistry (4th grade in Canada, 2nd grade in Finland)
teaches us that Bases are slippery -- until they dry.

Maybe I should be doing something productive with my last day of Winter Break. . . .
