It depends on how wide the gap is. The structure will be fairly flexible if it has not yet been glassed. Try just gently pushing into place to start with. If that doesn't work then, if it is bent outward, a couple of damp towels on the outside for a few hours should see it correct somewhat. Otherwise on the inside if you want it to warp outward.

If you still have the strong back then put the deck or hull back on, bend carefully into place and tack it down with beads of hot glue, then glass, including fill coats. This should help maintain the shape. Then glass the inside as soon as you can so it doesn't warp again.

If you don't have the strong back any more you will have to eyeball the two parts and get them to mate up as best you can before locking them in shape with the epoxy. Sometimes some gentle force is necessary.
