: it right. You could probably make a mandrel, too. I've seen a
: lot of drywear repaired by people who thought "that's no
: biggie" and they end up with a gooped up aquaseally mess
: that's not all that waterproof. Don't let hubris mess up a $1000
: piece of technical clothing.

I have a complete wood shop with a lathe. If I don't have something that will work laying around I can make an arbor very easily. I was going to send it of but I found the REI (?) video last night. After seeing them do one I decided to do it myself. Had no idea how it was done till I saw that. No harder than masking off and painting a boat or car but i can see how people would really make a mess of it.
