Thanks for the video. I really like this idea and the video was great. I do think that having a shallow angle on the hole would reduce friction on the rope, increase contact area with the tube making it less likely to break free, and create less of a bump inside to catch on things you are stowing. You would probably want a jig to hold the bit at the right angle and keep it from sliding when you are strating the hole.
