Hi

I'm from NS as well, Wolfville. I get all my SOF stuff from Jeff Horton, Kudzucraft in 'Bama. The shipping costs a bit, but the materials are as reasonable as anywhere I've looked, and Jeff offers great advice.

I'm on my third SOF build. I use Tremclad oil based rust paint tinted to any color in the rainbow by the staff at Home Hardware. I use 11mm Baltic Birch plywood from Home Depot for frames, sealed in epoxy, and make gunwales and stringers from clear pine 1x6 boards.
