Interesting idea.
I was in a pool rolling clinic this evening, and the butterfly is one of the things we tried.
It didn't work very well for me, but some of the other participants had better luck with it, I think.

The sculling/sweep moves seemed more natural for me.

Being patient about floating up to the surface took a bit of concentration as well.

I was surprised by the difference in flexibility I had between the two 'sides' -quite a difference. Gotta do some work on that...
