: Anyone ever tried Wood Swell to close up those pesky staple holes.
: Wondering if it wood work better than steam. Just thought I
: would ask. Joe
If this is not to late. I used 1/2" plywood. Cut about 40 pieces into 2 1/2" X 2 1/2" with a slot cut into one side 3/8" by 1" I clamped the pieces to my to my forms with spring clamps the length of the boat and used the slot to wedge down on the strip tight to the previous strip. This took a little longer as I could only do one strip on each side of the boat with about three hours dry time and the start again. The up side is no staple holes the down side more time. Just kept moving the blocks further as the hull and then the deck progressed.
