I should have said, glass the outside, then separate the deck and glass the insides.
It's also a good idea to build a few temporary forms to keep the hull shape intact after the deck is removed.
Also, be careful not to distort the deck shape when you are working on it 'upside down'. More temporary forms/supports there can be helpful.
