On the last Black Pearl, I used a double layer of 3oz glass on the entire outside with a third layer on the very bottom. The inside was mostly carbon fiber. Finished weight was 33.5 pounds. The third hatch (ie day hatch) alone added about a pound. Even with the light weight, it'll be a very rugged.
