The easiest way is probably to upload the photos you want to post to Facebook (if you have an account) and, either grab the URL from there to place in the forum URL box, or put in a link address to the relevant album. It is even easy with an iPad to add pics from Facebook photos to this forum.

Just be sure to allow public access to that album.

I can see the logic of not hosting pics locally. This forum is quite active and old pictures would start taking up serious server space for no reason. Not such a problem these days, but definitely when this forum was founded. Also, potential problems with copyrighted material are averted this way.
